Privacy Policy

This is EXAR Studios Inc.’s (“EXAR”) privacy policy. This document explains EXAR's policies for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. EXAR abides by applicable privacy legislation. EXAR provides augmented reality applications.

The Information We Collect

EXAR collects information by various methods including information actively provided by its customers, and information arising from the use of EXAR provided applications. (“Apps”).

The types of personal information we collect include contact information, and location, use and device information arising from the use of Apps.  We may record calls to or from our customer service representatives for purposes of accuracy, performance reviews and training. Apps may include the ability of users to take pictures or record videos within the App. Such pictures and videos are stored on the user’s device, and the App does not provide those pictures or videos to EXAR.

How We Use This Information

This information is used to provide augmented reality services through our Apps. EXAR may use aggregate or anonymous information which will not be linked to identified individuals for various other uses for itself and third parties.  

Who We Share This Information With

EXAR does not share personal information with any third parties except as disclosed in this policy.  EXAR may provide personal information to its consultants, subcontractors, and professional advisers (which shall be bound by privacy obligations) to assist EXAR’s uses disclosed herein.

Content in the Apps may include content paid for by third parties.  EXAR may provide those third parties with “heat maps” showing where users come from and metrics around use, but such information will be provided on an anonymous and aggregate basis that does not identify users. We may use subcontractors located in United States to process personal information for cloud-based server analysis. More information can be obtained from our Privacy Officer.

Security

Personal information is protected by security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.

Accessing Information

Individuals may review their personal information contained in EXAR files by contacting the EXAR privacy officer. If an individual believes that any of their personal information is inaccurate, we will make appropriate corrections.

General

EXAR may amend this policy from time to time by posting an updated version on our website. If such amendments affect how EXAR uses or discloses personal information already held by EXAR in a material way, EXAR will obtain consent.

This policy was last updated on August 14, 2020.

Notwithstanding the general terms of this policy, the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information may be made outside of the terms herein to the extent provided for in any applicable privacy or other legislation in effect from time to time, or pursuant to court orders.
